We're home!

Max was a spoiled mutt when it came to riding on the boat. I think he misses the lake.

Jacob could have tubed all day. I don't know why he doesn't look happy here.

This is the boys standing over Sheba's grave. Ralph relaxing in the pool.

I liked this photo of Colby by the window.

View from the house. It was a horrible way to spend a week. LOL.

And not a day too soon! We had a great time but boy is it nice to be home. It turned out to be quite an eventful week. We took our cat with us because we knew it was only a matter of days before she passed. She was almost 18yrs old and had stopped eating a couple days before we left. Well she made it two days into our trip. Sunday night when we got back from boating Ralph walked out onto the back porch where she was. When he walked by her she meowed out three times. The most noise she made in days. He picked her up and held her and within about 5 mins she passed. So Ralph and I went out and dug a hole for her down by the lake. It was around 8:45pm and I swear to you that was the most beautiful sunset we had all week. And just as we were having our little ceremony for her about 2 dozen ducks swam right in front of the house and hung out for a few minutes. It was like they were there for her. I was not prepared for how upset Ralph and Jacob would be. Jacob cried like a baby. It was so sweet and sad at the same time.

Then next I found out that my ex-SIL's husband left her for another woman. My ex-SIL just had a baby 6 months ago! But I'm really upset because now this means my 8yr old niece has now lost 2 daddies. Life just isn't fair sometimes. I've been upset for days over this whole situation.

We also went to see Kenny G. Now before you say anything it was actually a really good concert. I didn't think I would enjoy it at all but I ended up having a really good time. He's actually pretty funny and to hear his music in person was incrediable. And his bass guitarist and percussionist was out of this world. Before the concert we went to eat at a Brazilian Steakhouse and man was it good. If you haven't been to one before I suggest you try it out. Delish!

Oh, and we got lost on the lake twice! Yesterday for over 2.5hrs. Not fun!

So, anyway, here are some pictures from our week.
